Chiara Trovatello, assistant professor with a permanent contract at the Department of Physics, has been appointed member of the Early Career Editorial Board (ECB) of Nano Letters.
She thus joins an exceptional group of early-career researchers from 16 different countries around the world, selected for the 2025 board.
The Early Career Board was first established in 2015, making Nano Letters the first journal within ACS Publications to create such an initiative. The ECB was created with the aim of engaging talented young scientists and engineers, ensuring constant updates on emerging topics in nanoscience and nanotechnology, and promoting greater transparency in editorial practices.
Over the years, the committee's role has gradually expanded: members contribute to the journal's editorial activities, support peer review, promote the journal to new audiences, serve as ambassadors at conferences, and actively contribute to shaping the future direction of the field.
Chiara Trovatello's appointment represents prestigious international recognition of her scientific achievements and her growing leadership within the nanoscience community.
The Department of Physics warmly congratulates you on this important achievement, confident that your contribution will be decisive in shaping the future of Nano Letters and strengthening our University's presence in international scientific circles.
