Dr. Henri Jaffres (Unite Mixte de Physique CNRS-Thales)

"Ultrafast spin-currents and charge conversion at spintronics interfaces probed by time-domain terahertz spectroscopy"

ven 18/10/2013 - 11:00 - Virtual Zoom Seminar (link)

Meeting ID: 848 2489 1939

Passcode: 590687

Bio: Dr. Henri Jaffrès completed his Ph.D. at the Physics Department of the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) - University Toulouse III, France, in 1999. Then he joined the Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS-Thales, Palaiseau, France as a postdoc (2000–2001) before joining the CNRS at the same institute. His work focuses on spintronics, spin injection, spin transport, and spin transfer in semiconductor spintronics devices with electrical and optical detection in III-V heterostructures, as well as spin-Hall effect and spin-pumping in group IV semiconductors.

The seminar is part of a series organized in the context of the PRIN2017 project “TWEET- Towards Ferroelectricity in Two dimensions”, coordinated by CNR-SPIN (Dr. S. Picozzi). We foresee one seminar each month.

"Stabilization of the polar rhombohedal phase in Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 layers"

"Ultrafast spin-currents and charge conversion at spintronics interfaces probed by time-domain terahertz spectroscopy"

"Ferroic oxide heterostructures: the impact of the interface"
