Information

He was born in Milan (Italy) October 21st, 1984. He graduated in Physical Engineering (Bachelor Degree) in 2006 with a thesis concerning the generation and the characterization of femtosecond laser pulses under the supervision of Prof. Mauro Nisoli. He obtained his Master Degree in Physical Engineering (Nanotechnologies and Physical Technologies) in 2009 with the thesis “Raman effects in the filamentation of femtosecond laser pulses in molecular gases” under the supervision of Prof. Salvatore Stagira. On March, 1st 2013 he earned the degree of Ph.D. in Physics at Dipartimento di Fisica of Politecnico di Milano where he actually works in the group of Prof. Salvatore Stagira and Dr. Caterina Vozzi, in the laboratories of CNR-IFN (National Research Council – Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies). He is currently a Research Officer at CNR-IFN. His main scientific interest is the generation of high order harmonics (HHG) for the emission of coherent ultrashort XUV and soft X light and the investigation of the properties of matter, in particular of atomic and molecular gases, by means of high energy infrared parametric laser sources. Moreover, he works on nonlinear optics and on the shaping of ultrashort laser pulses by means of optical filamentation in molecular gases.
