Information

She received her Master Degree in Engineering Physics cum laude in 2016 and her PhD in Physics (summa cum laude) in March 2020 from Politecnico di Milano, with a thesis entitled "Ultrafast Spectroscopy of 2D Materials and Related Heterostructures". During her PhD activity she visited the University of Wurzburg in Germany (March 2018) and she won a Marie Curie RISE Fellowship for visiting Columbia University in New York City, NY (March - September 2019). The main fields of her research activity focus on ultrafast optics and spectroscopy applied to low dimensional materials (graphene, TMDs and 2D heterostructures) and Graphene-based Silicon Photonics.

Chiara was Teacher Assistant (TA) of Experimental Physics for aerospace, energy and mechanical engineering, and TA of Physics II for Enviromental and Land Planning Engineering. She is currently TA of Physics I and II for Mathematical Engineering. She is also Founder and President of the OSA Student Chapter of Milan, founder and member of the EPS Young Minds section of Milan, and organizer of the EPS Career Event at CLEO EU in 2019 [ref] and the Photonics Online Meetup Hub of Milan in 2020.
