My research activity is focused on the study of the electronic and magnetic properties of surfaces and interfaces. Both the sample preparation and characterization are performed in ultra-high vacuum conditions to preserve the physical properties at the surface. All the experimental techniques employed during my daily work, i.e. electron diffraction and both direct and inverse photoemission spectroscopy with spin-resolution, give access to the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of the sample.
