Dario Polli

Dario Polli was born in Milan on September 5, 1976. In 2001 he graduated with honors in Electronic Engineering at the Politecnico of Milan and in Physics Engineering from the Ecole Centrale in Paris. From 2002 to 2005 he carried out his PhD in Physics Engineering (XVII cycle) at the Politecnico di Milano, where he became full-time Researcher in 2005 and Associate Professor in 2014. He enjoys teaching and currently he is Professor of Experimental Physics for Management Engineering students. His scientific research activity deals with the generation and characterization of ultrashort optical pulses and their use for the study of ultrafast processes in carotenoids and complex antenna and scanning probe microscopy. In 2014 he won an ERC Consolidator project (www.vibra.polimi.it) on coherent Raman microscopy.
