Margherita Maiuri , Associate Professor at the Department of Physics of thePolitecnico di Milano, and visiting professor atPrinceton University, is among the recipients of the Women in Ultrafast Science Global Award by Ultrafast Science - A Science Partner Journal. The award recognizes her scientific advancements in manipulating light-matter interactions in flat optics through ultrafast multidimensional spectroscopies.

Margherita Maiuri received her PhD in Physics in 2014 at Politecnico, specializing in the field of ultrafast optics and spectroscopy applied to biomolecules. Her main research interests include the understanding of femtosecond dynamics of light-induced mechanisms in biological/bio-mimetic systems and optical nanostructures.
