Control and characterization of the static and dynamic magnetization in magnetic materials
The CCMagMa project is based on the development of techniques for controlling and characterizing static and dynamic magnetization, a fundamental starting point for the advancement of magnonics in antiferromagnets (AFs). In particular, the project will demonstrate the patterning of the magnetic properties of ferrimagnets (FIs), extending the results previously achieved by the group on ferromagnets (FMs). A thermal gradient magnetometry technique will then be developed for the nanoscale characterization of the magnetic properties of patterned systems. Finally, the project will strengthen collaborations in the field of THz characterization of magnetic materials and in the use of currents (via spin–orbit torque) to control magnetization.
