Kumria Mikel

I am currently a PhD candidate in Physics and Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano, enrolled in an interdisciplinary doctoral programme jointly conducted by the Department of Physics and the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB), under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Ferrari and Prof. Fabrizio Pittorino.

My research focuses on the study and development of spiking neural networks for neuromorphic computing.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University ofTorino and a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics (track: Quantum materials and Nanophysics) from Politecnico di Milano, where I worked on reservoir computing and spiking neural networks.
