Petra Paiè obtained a Ph.D. in Physics in 2016 from Politecnico di Milano with a thesis on the fabrication of optofluidic devices for biological applications by femtosecond laser micromachining. After completing her Ph.D., she worked as a fixed-term researcher at the Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies of the National Research Council (IFN-CNR) and at the University of Tokyo with a JSPS short-term invitational fellowship. Since 2022, she has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Politecnico di Milano.
