FAQs on Phortify Master Graduate Track for POLIMI students(updated on 01 April 2026)
A more general overview of Phortify is given below.
Phortify - Photonics Education Network for Next-Gen Innovation and Digital Skills Excellence for Industry and Society - (https://phortify.eu/), is a new pan-European network dedicated to university education at Master level in the field of photonics.
Phortify Master Graduate Track builds on the integration of seven existing Photonics master programmes offered by seven EU partner universities, within which the Phortify track is embedded as an elective package. The MSc degree programme in Engineering Physics at POLIMI is one of these Photonics master programmes.
Without the creation of a new Master Program, Phortify allow students, enrolling or enrolled in one of the seven master programmes, to;
- access to Phortify-labelled courses focused on photonics and digital-skills offered at the seven EU partner universities;
- access Phortify consortium’s Labs & Facilities for their master thesis projects;
- build industry connections through collaborations with photonics companies and research centres offering opportunities for internships, and master’s thesis projects within Phortify;
- exploit the mobility for temporary study or research periods at partner institutions made available via Erasmus+.
Scholarships and grants are available for students joining Phortify. Specifically, a first call for Phortify Master Programme Scholarships has already opened and will close on Aprile 3, 2026, at 23:59 (CET). Further calls will open in 2027.
