New publication in Marketwatch explaining how X_PIC works

In this short article published in the magazine Market Watch we address the colleagues from academia in Romania, but most importantly from the business sector as possible stakeholders of the recently obtained research outcomes.

We present the concept of the X_PIC project and device. Since the general target audience of this magazine is not specialized in lasers or laser-matter interaction, we presented the topic in a more descriptive way.
The expertise of each partner of the consortium was presented by focusing on their contribution to solving the complex problems until a fully functioning X_PIC device is fabricated.

We highlight the importance of efficient collaboration between groups with different but complementary expertise. We reach the conclusion that X-PIC is a great example of how fundamental concepts are explored and transformed into an emerging technology.

Physics - Politecnico di Milano is the coordinator of the X-PIC project and all the experimental results shown have been obtained at the Physics Department of the Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with CNR-IFN Salvatore Stagira
