SUPErlattices of ReLATIVistic OxidesSUPErlattices

The project proposes combined experimental and theoretical approach to study relativistic Mott insulators; in particular, it focuses on the Ruddlesden-Popper Sr_n+1Ir_nO3_n+1 iridates, a novel family of correlated electron systems in the strong spin-orbit coupling regime, which we aim to understand, engineer and, ultimately, control.
