Associate Professor

Andrea Crespi obtained the Master's Degree in Physical Engineering in 2008 and the PhD in Physics in 2012, at Politecnico di Milano. From 2012 to 2015 he worked as a research fellow in the group of Dr. Roberto Osellame at the Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies of the National Research Council (IFN-CNR). Since February 2016 he has been at the Department of Physics of the Politecnico, first as a Temporary Researcher (RTD) and from 2022 as an Associate Professor.

His experimental research activity mainly focus on femtosecond laser micromachining. In particular, his interests regard the design and microfabrication of integrated optical circuits in glass by direct laser writing. Applications of such circuits include sensing, optical simulation of quantum systems, manipulation and processing of information encoded on quantum states of radiation.
